“The Cubby House”Farmstay is on a property of 16 acres at Rylstone NSW at 604m above sea level. View the most spectacular countryside in the world! The farmstay is situated a comfortable 3 hours 40 minutes drive North West of Sydney between Lithgow and Mudgee.
On the farm attractions and local activities are:- Goats, chooks local bushwalks or just to enjoy magnificent views of spectacular sandstone cliffs of Kandos and wildlife at your door. You will experience the perfect environment for relaxation. “The Cubby House” is also ideal for photography, landscape painting, bird watching and star gazing. We do not have any set activities.
All you require is food, drinks, clothes for any season is advisable.
Our local Cafe’s at Rylstone, 2km drive or 20 minutes walk, is open for business. The next best place to go is Kandos or Rylstone Clubs or Pubs and other Restaurants, no more than 9km drive.
There are many scenic drives within an hours drive. Visit wineries, cafes, historic towns, natural wilderness areas, Windamere Dam, Dunn’s Swamp, Sofala, Kandos Swimming Pool 9km, Golf Courses at Rylstone or Kandos, Glen Davis Ruins, Hill End to name a few. The Capertee Valley is the largest canyon in the world (wider, but not as deep as the Grand Canyon, USA), with more birds per square kilometre than anywhere else in the Southern Hemisphere.

“The Cubby House”is a beautifully presented open plan apartment which accommodates 4 people and is set near the main farmhouse. The apartment has an open plan room with a comfy King bed plus double sofa-bed, dining table, well equipped kitchenette, bathroom facilities and patio with outdoor bbq entertaining area.
The apartment is self-contained with just about every modern convenience provided.
